Bachelor's Degree in Music Ministry
Voice: At five years old, I started singing for church, as is common among performing musicians, while my oldest sister accompanied on the piano. Growing up, I sang in many choirs. I began private voice lessons around age 12. My mom sang, so I learned stage presence before I learned social skills.

Voice: At five years old, I started singing for church, as is common among performing musicians, while my oldest sister accompanied on the piano. Growing up, I sang in many choirs. I began private voice lessons around age 12. My mom sang, so I learned stage presence before I learned social skills.
Flute: Flute lessons, from my dad, started around age 5. I played in the grade-school and junior high bands.
Piano: Piano lessons began at age 7. I have fond memories of sharing the piano bench with that sweet teacher.
Clarinet: The high school did not need any more flute players, so I took up the clarinet for marching band.
I wanted to look and act like my beautiful, talented oldest sister, so I chose to direct the band and accompany the choirs like she had done instead of singing.
Harp: As an adult, I taught myself the harp from a teach-yourself book on a small 22-string harp that my youngest sister gave me.
Songwriting: Songwriting started, again, right around the age of five. Around the age of 10, I started writing poetry. In my high school years, I attended adult writing groups with my dad.
Performing/Acting: I feel much more comfortable on a stage performing than I do in a crowd, and have recently added acting to my list of accomplishments.
Dancing: I have a teaching certificate in ballroom dance, and have sung while performing ballroom dance.
Teaching: I have taught private music lessons since 1997, and started teaching ballroom dance around 2018.
Hi! I'm Sugar, but my mom calls me 'Sug.' - Your friendly spokesdog!
I like treats, hugs, and going on walks with my mom. I used to eat anything, especially, plastic building blocks. Yum! My mom shares her healthy meals with me, and I like those, too. She gives me extra hugs as soon as she sits in the hugging chair.
